Lotta Nieminen is an illustrator, graphic designer and art director from Helsinki, Finland. She has studied graphic design and illustration at the University of Art and Design Helsinki and the Rhode Island School of Design, before starting her Brooklyn-based studio in 2012.
In 2014, she was nominated for Forbes magazine’s annual 30 Under 30 list in the Art & Style category. In 2010, she received the Art Directors Club Young Guns award and was selected by Print magazine for its annual New Visual Artists review, highlighting 20 international rising designers under the age of 30. Lotta has given talks around the US and Europe. Her client list includes companies such as Facebook, Hermès, Condé Nast, Google, New York Times, Volkswagen, IBM, International Herald Tribune, Monocle, Newsweek, Wired, New York Magazine and Vanity Fair.
Joonas is a designer, proud nerd, music junkie and an outdoor aficionado with an infinitely curious mind, who loves working at the nexus of design, tech, and strategy. His core strength is in experience design & art direction, but his mindset, education and analytical skills are those of an experience strategist.
Joonas is also an entrepreneur fueled by the digital era: he is the designer-founder of both a Finnish digital agency, Contrast.agency, and an international SaaS-startup, Smarp.com. In addition to these endeavors, he recently joined the social impact design consultancy Purpose in NYC, where he finally gets to add his biggest passion into the mix: working to tackle the world’s biggest problems - problems that truly matter.
He is a graduate of The New School's Parsons School of Design, where he gained a Master’s in Strategic Design & Management. Having lived in Finland, Ecuador, Chile and now in New York, Joonas is an avid lover of travel and language-learning. When he's not geeking out over a new design tool or an immersive campaign idea, he enjoys snowboarding, live music, and having a chat with someone outside of his social bubble.
Kati Huurtela is a New York based manager and producer for creative industries. She is an expert in starting up creative businesses and making them commercially successful. She develops structures and processes that allow creatives to truly push boundaries while keeping the business financially aligned.
Due to her 10-year experience in the creative field (design, fashion, lifestyle) she has gained a strong experience on customer experience design, client relationship management, marketing, PR and communications. Currently Kati works as a studio manager and producer for Theo Wenner LLC, a New York based photography studio, where she manages business operations. Their recent clients include Apple, Chloe, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs and Supreme among others.
